It’s that time again; the sun is out (occasionally), somewhere a BBQ is calling, it’s hot, it’s humid, and you’re exhausted. Your training gym is hot (well not ours as they’re air conditioned), you’re tired and emotional. Definitely a time to kick back, chill, and miss a training session right? WRONG!
I always find that these are the times you need to get yourself motivated, down to class and get into it. Training to high levels of anything requires a great deal of hard work, perseverance, and commitment. Making it to a black sash is not luck, but pure hard work.
These are the times when you’re really training; not just your skills, but your mental toughness as well.
